Facilitec’s practice reflects our belief that architecture can have a profound effect on individual’s health, attitude and productivity. Our firm provides comprehensive interior architectural services including conceptual and schematic design, design development and construction documentation, and planning, for your business, as well as furniture procurement, installation, and comprehensive relocation services. Our team handles every step of the process including assisting with contractor bidding and/or negotiating, tax credit and construction contract administration management.
Our involvement in each community nationwide makes it easy to navigate the local regulations and planning such as zoning and permitting. Our team combines distinctive architecture, creativity, and function to deliver environments that elevate the experiences in them.

38 years of experience has given Mr. Coons the tools to assist clients with the design, management, and budgeting of several million dollars in construction administration, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. As Founding Principal of Facilitec, Bill identifies project requirements and ensures all necessary company resources are dedicated to meeting the client’s objectives in the public and private sectors. His experience is in multiple national markets and industries including UPS, Smile Direct Club, ADT, Habitat for Humanity, and multiple campuses of hospitals and education.
Mr. Coons attended both the University of Louisville and Eastern Kentucky University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Interiors and began his career at the Webb Companies, a national developer building in 63 U.S. markets, where he became the youngest Vice President in company history. Mr. Coons then joined a New York facility management and design firm before relocating to Atlanta in 1991 to launch Facilitec.
As a Registered Architect, David brings a background of knowledge and technical expertise needed to oversee large and demanding projects. With over 30 years of experience, David manages the quality control of project delivery at Facilitec, ensuring a standard of excellence that provides the best possible product for our clients.
Upon graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Architecture, David began his career in New York City, working for prominent firms as HOK and CUH2A, where his work encompassed major interior relocations for such clients as People Magazine and AT&T as well as extensive consulting with the banking community. Since relocating to the South in 1994, David’s projects have run the gamut from technically sophisticated data and telecommunications facilities to countless corporate relocations, to high end, innovative boutique business suites.
Rick joined the team from NFL Officeworks where he served as General Manager for 17 years. During his tenure, he rebranded National Furniture Liquidators as NFL Officeworks and expanded the company from a leader in the used and remanufactured furniture industry to a well-respected, diversified contract dealership representing more than 300 manufacturers and providing comprehensive client services. Prior to his position with NFL Officeworks, Rick spent more than 10 years with Steelcase where he held various sales, training, development and management positions and was instrumental in helping the company grow to more than $200M in sales.
