In the historical Hurt building, Facilitec joined Kirk Diamond’s team at Cushman & Wakefield to develop the 4th Floor as well as a marketing center on the ground floor. We were in the midst of the exciting revitalization of downtown Atlanta.

The historical Hurt building is home to the private, nonprofit institution, Herzing University which is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs” for the sixth consecutive year. Herzing moved into the 30,000 square foot space within 4 months. It was a quick move.

Facilitec developed administrative area, highly specialized classrooms, a library and a collaborative student lounge. Tight timelines and historic building codes were two challenges that we had to overcome.

We moved them into a bright space that works well for the student’s environment with state-of-the-art medical equipment for immersive nursing clinical training.

Mirion knows radiation and is a leader in detection products, training and other safety products. When they decided to relocate their facility in Atlanta, they looked to Facilitec for project management to move their company to a new facility that was more conducive to their current employees and more appealing to new talent. After 20 years, they moved to Atlanta’s thriving Upper Westside on Menlo Drive.

The 32,000 square foot warehouse facility was transformed to an open office space with an environment that reflects Mirion’s company culture and objectives. The facility includs a conference center, experience center and a laboratory for testing and development. Facilitec worked in partnership with ASD design and Office Interiors to design and build the environment. The facility was created with a fresh open environment filled with exterior light and high open ceilings. Office Interiors designed the furnishings to compliment the progressive design. Both ASD and Office Interiors worked collectively to ensure that the finishes created a seamless design that filled the company’s objectives and goals.

The joint effort of Scotland Wright Associates, Facilitec, Humphries Construction and Office Interiors made for a problem free project that is now home for the organization.
