Velocity Ventures which is an automotive service center franchise wanted to create a functional and flexible corporate office from 2,000 square feet of space, while maintaining an open loft feel.

Creating multi-use, flexible areas in a small footprint was a top priority.  Creating an open plan required special attention to lighting, particularly for an interior hallway, reception area, and non-windowed offices. Showcasing the core business also required thoughtful blending of non-traditional finishes with high performance, visually compatible furnishings.

Using non-traditional design elements such as a roll up, metal garage doors and barn doors, Facilitec was able to provide convertible spaces which could readily meet privacy and collaborative needs.  By combining this glass garage door with transom windows for interior offices, natural daylight was maximized, achieving the desired open feel.  Brick detailing, stained concrete floors, window muntins and a creative combination of high efficiency fluorescent, pendant, and decorative lighting worked to effectively brand the space.

Mirion knows radiation and is a leader in detection products, training and other safety products. When they decided to relocate their facility in Atlanta, they looked to Facilitec for project management to move their company to a new facility that was more conducive to their current employees and more appealing to new talent. After 20 years, they moved to Atlanta’s thriving Upper Westside on Menlo Drive.

The 32,000 square foot warehouse facility was transformed to an open office space with an environment that reflects Mirion’s company culture and objectives. The facility includs a conference center, experience center and a laboratory for testing and development. Facilitec worked in partnership with ASD design and Office Interiors to design and build the environment. The facility was created with a fresh open environment filled with exterior light and high open ceilings. Office Interiors designed the furnishings to compliment the progressive design. Both ASD and Office Interiors worked collectively to ensure that the finishes created a seamless design that filled the company’s objectives and goals.

The joint effort of Scotland Wright Associates, Facilitec, Humphries Construction and Office Interiors made for a problem free project that is now home for the organization.
